    Kindergarten (Prepa) to Second Grade

Lower elementary students build on the capacity for concrete learning developed in the Montessori Preschool. As their ability to reason increases, they begin to think abstractly. This studio is the perfect blend of Montessori materials and Acton Socratic discussions and hands-on, real-world learning projects.

  • HANDS-ON PROJECTS

Eagles explore through real life experiences topics that range from science, geography to cooking and other interesting topics.

    GOALS AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Eagles learn how to set and achieve their own goals, and to hold each other accountable to reach those goals each day, week and year.

    PRACTICAL LIFE

Our Spark Eagles prepare food and clean up their own classroom each day during our Studio Maintenance time. They also clean up their own art materials and project time, and they handle glass and ceramic dishes, sharp objects, matches and more.

LEARNING TO READ, TO WRITE AND DO MATH

Eagles develop and master the basic academic skills to become independent learners: reading, writing and math

    JOY + RIGOR = MASTERY

Embracing rigor is part of saying ‘yes’ to a Hero’s Journey. Deep learning brings a special sense of joy, but the mastery required for a Hero’s Journey goes even further, requiring commitment, discipline and hard work towards a worthy goal.

Find a Calling.

Change the World.
