We focus on developing a love for reading, writing in a variety of genres, and using adaptive technology for mathematics, reading comprehension, phonics and spelling. Each Eagle sets his or her own goals on Monday and organizes his or her time throughout the week to reach those goals. The more responsbility an Eagle takes, the more freedom and privileges they earn - just like in real life.

Our Eagles learn to DO - we create fun, engaging and challenging Quests, during which they explore, collaborate and create in hands-on, real-world projects. These real-world quests, in the sciences, history, technology, architecture, entrepreneurship and others, allow Eagles to notice which disciplines call their attention as potential careers in future.

We believe that asking great questions is more powerful than simply memorizing facts. In our Socratic discussions, we consider moral dilemmas, historical decisions and issues that arise in the day-to-day life of our studios. Our Eagles learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think.

Embracing rigor is part of saying ‘yes’ to a Hero’s Journey. Deep learning brings a special sense of joy, but the mastery required for a Hero’s Journey goes even further, requiring commitment, discipline and hard work towards a worthy goal.
