We love to learn, and we wanted the best education for our children.

So, we enrolled them in the "best" bilingual schools in San Salvador.

But by first grade, they started to lose their "spark".

They had to sit in a desk and listen to a teacher talk at them for more than 5 hours per day.

We saw the light in their eyes start to dim.

They came home exhausted from having to tolerate boredom and stay sedentary.

They weren't excited about school. We worried they might start to hate reading, math or learning in general.

Their grades were great, their behavior was perfect. But inside, they were slowly dying.

For us, the situation was intolerable.

Thank God, we found Acton Academy in Guatemala.

As soon as we heard "Learn to be, learn to do and learn to learn," we were curious.

Then we heard "entreprenership quest" and we were excited.

Then we heard "Socratic Method" and we were sold.

Then we heard "hands-on, real world projects," and we applied to open our own in El Salvador.

Which we opened in 2016.
